Description
K-Zyme is a source of potassium, combined with SOD and catalase, important antioxidant enzymes. Potassium is a very important mineral for the proper functioning of all cells, tissues, and organs in the human body. Potassium is crucial to heart function, and plays a key role in skeletal and smooth muscle contraction, making it important for normal digestive and muscular function. Potassium is also important for both the maintenance of normal blood pressure levels, and for urinary alkalinization. Low blood potassium, termed hypokalemia may result in muscle weakness, abnormal heart rhythm, and may also cause a slight rise in blood pressure. Urinary alkalinization is important in mineral retention and xenobiotic excretion.
